The 1st Goût du Japon Contest on February 13, 2018

For the first time in Paris, The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan will hold the French gourmet contest using Japanese ingredients.

What form will these enticing Japanese delicacies take in the world of French cuisine?

French chefs will vie for the title, using their menus to showcase unique presentations, innovative ideas, and an expansive worldview, all on one plate.

The 8 contestants will face a judging panel that includes legend of French cuisine and chef/owner of the restaurant Régis et Jacques Marcon, Régis Marcon, as well as Katsuhiro Nakamura, Associate Chairman of the French-Japanese Culinary Exchange (ECFJ) who was inducted into the French Order of Agricultural Merit in February of last year as a Commandeur, the highest rank.
