    “Washoku World Challenge” is a Japanese cooking contest sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries aimed at overseas chefs who are greatly interested in Japanese cuisine and are daily committed to improving their knowledge and skills. It was held 11 times up until 2023, and since the 5th Challenge, chefs from various countries around the world have given their own expression to Japanese cuisine in line with the theme on each occasion.
