Parisians Enjoy the Charm of Japanese Teas!
Together with an opening event of “The Japan Store” at MITSUKOSHI ISETAN, a several number of events were held at Paris
Together with an opening event of “The Japan Store” at MITSUKOSHI ISETAN, a several number of events were held at Paris – Japan Culture Center (Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris) for two days from September 30 to October 1, to deliver the attractiveness of Japanese tea to local Parisians.
The attractiveness was introduced with an aim to have Japanese teas be accepted by local French people, whose food culture is very mature. Participants learnt about the method of serving tea, the history of tea farms, how the ingredients can be used effectively, and also about sweets that enhance the advantages of the ingredients.

The participants became more interested in Japanese tea after the event, and they purchased Japanese teas at “The Japan Store” at MITSUKOSHI ISETAN, which was newly opened on the first floor of Paris – Japan Cultural Center (Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris).
We hope the popularity of Japanese tea lasts long in France.
