SHINDO SAKE BREWERY
Although a Junmai sake, it possesses the delicate aroma and elegant finish of a ginjo, along with the freshness and rich flavour unique to unfiltered sake. It offers a gorgeous fruity fragrance and a smooth, silky texture, highlighting the refined taste of premium Yamadanishiki rice. Each sip is soft and supple, with a harmonious balance of subtle sweetness and gentle umami, leaving a light, lingering aftertaste that fades gracefully. Exceptionally versatile and a sophisticated choice for any occasion.
About the Sake brewery:
Located in the southern part of Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, one of the snowiest areas in the region, Shindo Sake Brewery was founded in 1870 and is now led by Shindo Kurozaemon, with production overseen by President Shindo Masanobu. The brewery continues to expand its Masayamaryu brand nationwide with a vision for the future. Their sake is crafted with Dewa Sansan rice grown in the brewery’s own fields, along with pure underground water drawn from 20 metres below the Azuma Mountains. Constantly evolving, the brewery refines its craft by researching and selecting the ideal koji and yeast for each brew.
