NAEBA SHUZO

This sake opens with a sweet, inviting aroma reminiscent of ripe pear and lychee, leading to a crisp, clean finish where a gentle acidity lingers on the palate. Its bright and refreshing character makes it an excellent aperitif, perfect for stimulating the appetite. For a more substantial experience, it pairs beautifully with flavourful dishes such as pizza or pâté de campagne, where its delicate sweetness and subtle acidity enhance the flavours of the food. Best enjoyed well chilled, this sake offers a balanced and elegant drinking experience that is both approachable and sophisticated.

About the Sake brewery:

Founded in 1907 in the snowy region of Tsunan-cho, Niigata Prefecture, Naeba Shuzo has been producing high-quality sake for over a century. Blessed with abundant soft water sourced from underground springs, the brewery combines the expertise of Echigo Toji-trained brewers with both time-honoured techniques and modern innovations. Their goal is to craft sake that is fresh, elegant, and consistently delicious. The brewery takes its name from the nearby Mount Naeba, a renowned peak celebrated for its high-altitude wetlands and plentiful snow-melt water, which helps shape the character and purity of every bottle.
