Morita Daiginjo Ran
MORITA
This Daiginjo sake comes from a brewery with an impressive record of excellence, having won gold awards for nine consecutive years since 2006. It was also recognized as a recommended selection at the International Wine Challenge 2022. Chief Brewer Hamajima brewed this Daiginjo with meticulous care using select methods, pure water, and high-quality ingredients. The sake undergoes activated charcoal filtration for a light, refined finish, making it perfect for those new to sake. With its gentle aroma and rich umami, it pairs beautifully with white fish sashimi, chilled tofu, yudofu, and seafood salad. Best enjoyed chilled or at room temperature.
About the Sake brewery:
Morita's sake brewery, established nearly 350 years ago, is located in Kosugaya on the Chita Peninsula, Aichi Prefecture. The region’s warm springs, mild autumns, and cold winter winds create ideal brewing conditions, especially in winter. Master Brewer Hamajima, an eight-time Gold Prize winner at the Annual Japan Sake Awards, crafts sakes that balance sweetness, sourness, saltiness, bitterness, astringency, and umami. The brewery’s long tradition continues to produce elegant, flavour-balanced sakes that embody its heritage.
