Grilled miso-flavoured cod
Ingredients For two people servings

Sliced cod 2
Salt Appropriate amount
Miso paste 1 tablespoon
Mirin seasoning 2 tablespoons
Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
Salad oil 1/2 tablespoon
Water 3 tablespoons

The cod can absorb the tastiness of miso by marinating it overnight. The tastiness of miso enhances the weak flavor of cod and becomes tastier.

How to make it

  • Sprinkle salt over the sliced cods and leave for 10 minutes. Then remove moisture on the surface with a paper towel.

  • In a plastic bag, mix the miso paste, mirin seasoning and soy sauce. Then marinate the fish with it leaving it in a fridge for 3 hours.

  • Wipe the miso sauce off the fish.

  • Add salad oil onto a pan over a medium heat. Grill the surface of the cods, cover with a lid after adding water, then steam-fry them for 7 minutes over a low heat.
